lyrics

Original Swahili Lyrics:

Chorus:
Nikiingia Uswahilini
Natafuta pesa.
Nikiingia maofisini
Sina refa.
Nikiingia kwenye Mapenzi
Sina sera
Sina sera mwenzio. x2

Bridge:
Basi wacha mizigo
Mizito sie tubebe.
Ili hata nyumbani
Watoto wale washibe. ×2

Rap Part:
Yoo, Niite Mtoto wa getho, Niite mtoto wa swahili,
Usinitishie kisu hatari, Nitishie Madini,
Maisha ya uswahilini, Yamenifanya nijiamini,
Nahangaika na dunia sijui nitapata lini,
Hali ni duni, hakuna wakumuamini,
Wanaiba Makanisani, Wanaiba misikitini,
Imani hakuna kwa viongozi dini, Viongozi wa serikalini, Mijini na vijijini,
Sina sera, Sina Doller, Nahangaikia ngawila,
Nangoja gunia la chumvi nitambae na Besela,
Ukosefu wa Ajira, Umetuharibia dira,
Ndio maana kila kukicha, Kitaa bifu na Mapira,
Wacha mizigo tubebe, Tufanye Mazabe Nikirudi home,
Na watoto wajilambelambe.
Wacha mizigo tubebe, Tufanye Mazabe, Nikirudi home,
Na watoto wajilambelambe.

English Translation:

Chorus:
When I come into this busy local street
Looking for money
When I walk into their office
I have no referee
When I fall in love
I have no policy
I have no policy with my fellow x2

Bridge:
So leave us the heavy luggage to carry on.
At least my children
Will get some food at home.

Rap part:
Yo, call me Ghetto Boy, a boy from the Streets,
Don't threaten me with your dangerous knife,
Don't threaten me with your dirty mining.
A life of adventure in the slum, yes it made me feel confident,
I work hard in this world, I dont know when I will make it,
The situation is poor, there are no believers,
They steal from churches, They steal from mosques,
There is no belief in religious leaders, government, urban and rural leaders,
I'm concerned about the ships,
I'll wait for the salt sack to go with Besela,
Unemployment is breaking our Future,
You can see
Morning and Day Young Street Boys Fighting with Police.
So leave us the heavy luggage to carry on,
So that we can make some money,
Let's do it, and when I'll be back home
My children will have some food and happyness.
